HDI North Coast: Cyber Security Trends + Security Panel Discussion

27 May 2021
2:30pm - 4:00pm EDT

Topic: Security Training and Your Environment

During the keynote presentation we’ll take a little dive into the world of psychology, and where it ends up meeting technology. We’ll discuss why users might cause information security issues, and how we can work to better mitigate them. We’ll also examine how policies can help, or hinder, the effectiveness of the security design, and how security technology could actually help to contribute to a more insecure environment. Finally, we’ll consider how training can contribute to a successful information security posture, and where it may give organizational leaders a false sense of security.

We will follow this up with a panel discussion with panelists from various sectors.

Jimmy Murphy has been a Computer Scientist with the FBI for over five years. He has worked on every type of violation that the FBI investigates, and is a current member of the FBI’s Adjunct Faculty Program.
