We live in a different world than we did a year ago. Many of us are still trying to figure out the “new norm” in our personal and professional lives. The uncertainty, the mental stress, and how we cope on a daily basis are different for each one of us. At our February program, we will be discussing the mental health of our coworkers and the emotional impacts of COVID.

We will have multiple speakers including Dr. Eric Russ from the Kentucky Psychological Association. Presentations will cover the topics below, followed by a short panel discussion.

  1. Mental stress of dealing with COVID
  2. Coping skills within the workplace
  3. The Challenges of a post pandemic world

 

Presenters and Panelists Bios

 

Dr. Eric Russ

Dr. Eric Russ earned his PhD in clinical psychology from Emory University in 2010. After completing a fellowship in traumatic stress at Rush University in Chicago, he moved back to his hometown of Louisville in 2012. Dr. Russ is currently the Executive Director of the Kentucky Psychological Association and co-owns the Louisville Psychotherapy Group. He is hunkered down during the pandemic with his wife, 6 and 3 year old kids, and their dog.

 

Shara Hutchinson

Shara Hutchinson is a TEDx speaker, Author, and the Director of Services and Support at ARCOS, a software company that provides solutions for critical infrastructure industries. She is also the Founder of Xposeyour, a coaching and consulting firm, focused on developing great leaders. She has over 17 years leadership experience and a proven track record of developing and implementing operational strategies and technologies that support key business initiatives, boost staff productivity, and improve employee engagement. She specializes in developing  high performing teams by getting the right people in the right seats and providing specific motivation for each individual. She is passionate about increasing team cohesion, improving  employee satisfaction, and creating measurable results that ultimately impact the bottom line and enhances the overall customer experience. She lives in Ohio with her husband of 11 years and their 2 year old son.

 

Patti Urmetz

Patti Urmetz is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, specializing in Emergency and Inpatient Psychiatric Behavioral Health. She currently works part-time at Southwest General Health Center. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management and leads the Global Service Center organization for the Sherwin-Williams Company. She has 25 years leadership experience managing technical teams spanning infrastructure, service management, support, and project management. She is passionate about technology, education, responsibility, commitment, and continuous improvement. Patti lives with her husband, daughter, 3 dogs and 2 cats in Seven Hills, Ohio.
